Last week in Red Frogs class...

As communication is one of the most important things in our time, this week we aimed to learn more about it. We studied old and new communication tools and had hands on experience with them by using real tools during the classroom activities.  We made a drama about talking on the phone with the non-working cell phones kids brought to class. Also in one of the stations we sent letters to our friends. Kids created a message on the paper, they put the letters into envelopes and then put them into the mailbox. Next day they received a reply, they loved this activity.

Here we put the numbers on the floor to make a giant phone :) so when we needed an ambulance we dialed one-one-two -  we jumped on the numbers to dial,  it was great fun.

Here are some stories and songs that we used while exploring our topic.

I'm a Letter Carrier
I'm a letter carrier, on my way.
Here is my suit, it's blue and grey.
When I come to your house, every day,
I leave the mail, but I can't stay.

FIVE LITTLE LETTERS
Five little letters, not one more, (Hold up five fingers.)
I mailed one to Grandma, and that left four. (Fold down one finger.)
Four little letters written by me,
I mailed one to Grandpa, and that left three. (Fold down two fingers.)
Three little letters in envelopes new,
I mailed one to Auntie, and that left two. (Fold down three fingers.)
Two little letters, adding stamps was fun!
I mailed one to Uncle, and that left one. (Fold down four fingers.)
One little letter, my work was almost done,
I mailed it to my best friend, and that left none. (Fold down five fingers.)
