Parts of the plants

Last week we studied plants & parts of the plants. First we started our topic by asking questions like "what a plant is?", "what does a plant need to stay alive?" The needs of a plant song helped us so much in answering that question. Now we know that a plant needs five things to stay alive; water, soil, space, light and air. While exploring our topic we used the plants that kids brought to classroom. They took the responsibility of looking after them. 

Then we studied the parts of a plant. We watched videos and did some activities in the classroom and during the station time.

We also studied number 8 by counting blocks.

In one of the stations they did a math activity related with our topic. They made carrots and they put them according to the number on that page.

Flowers make a rainbow 

 Using rainbow colors we made a different kind of rainbow which is made up of flowers.

"Let's count the flowers that make a rainbow."
