H2O= WATER
During the previous week, we explored everything about water. We have learned that it has a magic power over all kind of dirt and mess. We can wash our hands, our faces, our dishes, our toys ...We can wash everything that needs to be cleaned, with the help of water. We have also learned how important water is for all living things in nature to stay alive. So, we reminded ourselves the ways to save water.
Bath time for our little babydoll / Wet and Dry
All together we went to our playground. Our cute baby doll was a bit dirty. With water and shampoo we washed it.While washing it our hands got wet.
" Look my hands are wet now."
While we're listening to "Shakey Shakey" song we tried to create a rhythm. We shook our instruments to the rhythm of the song and we had fun :)
Stations
In this station kids were to find two similar objects in the soapy water and match them.
In this station first we watched a video about the "water cycle" and then we tried to dramatize it. Some kids became the sun in order to heat water, some of them became drops of water and they sat and rose as water vapoured. They moved with "clouds" and in the end "water drops" fell back in the form of rain :)
Water- Saving Project
In this station, we learned some crucial tips to save water. We made a graphic of what we should and shouldn't do in order to save water. For example; we should turn off the tap while brushing our teeth. We shouldn't take a long bath, instead we should take showers.
In order to learn dirty and clean concepts and have fun while learning we ate chocolate biscuits. We smeared biscuits with chocolate.
"Look my hands are dirty now"
"Hmm they look yummy!"
We couldn't wait too much and ate our chocolate biscuits. But oh their mouths were dirty now because of the chocolate! So we went to bathroom to clean our hands and mouth.
We washed our hands and mouth using soap and water. Now they were clean again.
