Let's get on a vehicle and go! Cause the theme is TRANSPORTATION

For the last two weeks our topic was "transportation". During the first week we learned about  land vehicles, next week we explored the vehicles that go through the air and on the sea. We studied them in detail, and learned many new words related to our topic. 

First we started to explore our topic with a game. We had a big traffic light and all kids were the cars :) When it was red we stopped, then it was yellow we had to wait and when it was green, it was time to go! 

" Hey... Stop. It is the red light." 

"Car Tracing"

Here, Red Frogs drew paths in order to get vehicles to the stop sign. 

And here we coloured the trains blue, the trucks red and the planes yellow. By colouring the vehicles we divided them into three groups. 

                         

In addition to many other songs and stories, we listened to the "Transportation Song". As we listened we learned more about the vehicles. 

Here we listened to the sounds of vehicles and guessed what vehicle might it be. Kids got really excited when they tried to guess.
"Hmm. What is that sound? Which vehicle does it belong? Maybe a motorcycle?"

                                     

Look! Our "Water-Sky-Land Project"
We prepared a big project on a cardboard. We had all types of transportation. Not only we revised the words but also we grouped them as we tried to put them to the right places on the project. No doubt we had fun:)

"Getting from here to there"
Our cute puppet wanted to go to somewhere. It might be cinema, school, supermarket or even Paris! But he didn't know how to get to those places so we helped him.

Paper Boats

We made our colorful paper boats. "Look my boat is floating. But how does it happen? Is it magic?" Of course NOT, It was the power of MAGNETS. :)

Every friday Mr. Steve comes to our classroom and together they do many fun activities. Here Mr. Steve and Red Frogs colour vehicles as related to our topic.
